  • Museum Hours

    The museum is open on Wednesdays or by appointment only. Please call (708) 343-3554 to schedule a tour with our Curator, Ms. Hall.

  • Admission

    Admission is $10 per adult , $5 per child.

  • Tour groups

    We offer tours to schools, churches, and community groups. Please call Ms. Dorothy, our curator, at (708) 343-3554 to schedule your group tour today! By appointment

  • Parking

    Few parking spots are available directly on-site. There is additional street parking available in front of the Maywood Police Department, and the Maywood Public Library on Lake Street.

Getting Here

 

By Car

From the East:
Take I-290 West. Use the exit at South 5th Avenue (one of the main access points into Maywood) then head north on 5th Ave until you reach S 5th Ave & your destination.

From the West:
Take I-290 East. Exit at South 5th Avenue. Drive north on 5th Ave and turn onto S 5th Ave to reach the address.

From the North:
Take I-94 South (or whatever major north/south expressway you’re on) and merge onto I-290 West. Exit at South 5th Avenue, then head north on 5th Ave to S 5th Ave.

From the South:
Take I-57 North (or other major route) and then merge onto I-294 West (the Tri‑State Tollway (I‑294)) if needed. Then merge onto I-290 East, exit at South 5th Ave, and proceed north to S 5th Ave.

By Public Transportation

Metra Union Pacific/West Line (UP-W): The station in Maywood is the “Maywood” stop. From there, you can walk east on Lake Street and then south or north on 5th Ave to reach S 5th Ave.

PACE Bus: The PACE buses (for example, Routes 309 and 313) stop on or near Lake Street and 5th Ave, and you can walk a short distance south to S 5th Ave.

Walking directions from main transit stop: After alighting at the Metra station or bus stop, walk to 5th Ave, then head south (if you’re north of S 5th) or north (if you’re south) until you reach address number 104 on S 5th Ave.
